Desktop Report - the budget option

Our Desktop House History Report is an innovative highly focused service carried out from our office without the necessity of visiting archives or your home, relying instead on our expertise in accessing archives electronically. A chronological list of owners/occupiers is constructed as far as electronic records allow, and, where possible and applicable, other material is gathered, such as copies of extracts of old maps centred on your home, photos of previous occupants, important events in the house, and sale notices, all of which are combined into our report with the latest satellite image of your house and property to illustrate its historical development.

Since we can eliminate travel, accommodation, subsistence, and any record office fees in the production of this report, the cost of its production is reduced to £750 (VAT is not charged.)  As paper records are not consulted in this search process the amount of source material accessed will naturally be less than that provided by our actual visits to archives, but in this electronic age we have developed new research techniques to access remotely far more than would have been available until very recently. This report is a stand-alone product, although if you subsequently decided to proceed further, it could easily be incorporated into a more detailed report or a Full House History.

Payment for the Desktop House History Report is in two stages; half (£375) in advance and the remaining £375 upon completion.
